We’re looking for 65 testers based in the U.S. who buy and wear socks regularly, and, let’s be honest, have an opinion about them.

People happy to share how, when, and where they buy socks, what they like or dislike, and more.

 Here's what you'll receive, if you are selected as a tester

A set of 7* pairs of socks, individual retail value $85-$105:

  • 1 pair of no shows cotton white - Men - Size XX
  • 1 pair of no shows cotton white - Women - Size XX
  • 1 pair of no shows bamboo white - Men (with a sewn marker) - Size XX
  • 1 pair of no shows bamboo white - Women (with a sewn marker) - Size XX
  • 1 pair of Mid Crew Socks + hair band combo - Women - Size XX
  • 1 pair of Mid Crews Single - Men - Size XX
  • 1 Master & Dog Combo pack - Size XX

*The set you'll receive might be adjusted to your household profile.

To join this campaign you must:

  • Be 18+, and have a valid U.S. address (no P.O. Box)
  • Wear socks or influence sock purchases within your household
  • Be around from Aug 1-Aug17 to make sure your receive the socks at home and can wear them if you're selected to be a tester
  • Have a completed and up to date Consoomers profile at the time you join our campaign

 Steps & Timeline

Phase 1 - applications (until approx. Jul. 29)

A few honest minutes on how you shop and what you look for in a sock.

Phase 2 - testing (until approx. Aug. 17)

65 testers selected out of the applicants will be asked to put the kit through its paces in real life and tell us what earned a spot in rotation, and what didn’t.

 A few things about this campaign

  • The socks are non-branded, so don't expect fancy packaging, we want you to focus purely on the product itself.
  • It's not so much about grading one pair of socks in particular. This campaign is about understanding your everyday habits, preferences, and pet peeves, and what could genuinely make a difference the next time you open your sock drawer.

FAQ

What if I don't have a dog? Or a partner?

That's totally fine, and it won't count against you in any way. We'll just tailor the sock set to match your actual household so everything you get is relevant to you.

Can I request a different size or style in my set? 

Sizes and styles are pre-determined so unfortunately, it won't be possible to adjust what is being sent to you.

Can I invite friends to participate?

Always! Simply send them the link to this page and they can join the fun. Make sure you tell them to complete their Consoomers profile in order to be considered for the testing phase. 

About the company behind the socks

This survey is commissioned by a leading family-run manufacturer that has been making socks since 1971 in North America, now employing roughly 500 people, with products distributed through major retailers.

In Mexico, they hold the exclusive license for Bluey, the #1 most-streamed show in the U.S. for two years running, so there's a good chance a Bluey sock has passed through this factory.

 

Materials range across cotton, bamboo, nylon, and elastane, with experience in specialized categories such as licensed children's lines and seamless, diabetic-friendly socks.
